Louisville Laughs has a lot of great comedy shows coming. Here is a breakdown of what’s on tap in August, including a free comedy class for new comics. It also has a Promo Code sprinkled in so you can save money.

Sept. 12 — Second Sunday Showcase, 7:30 p.m.
Join us at Planet of the Tapes for the Second Sunday Showcase with headliner Andy Imlay, of Evansville.
Andy, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18 months, spreads his Palsy Positive message across the country through comedy. Andy is a husband, father and a Superman Super Fan, who has headlined the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Ill.
The show will be hosted by June Dempsey and includes comedians Kris Izzi from Evansville and Louisville comics Mike Nilsson, Nathaniel Potts-Wells, Zana Carter, Neil Carter and Lucas Murphy.
Tickets are $10. Guests must provide proof of Covid vaccination to attend the show.
Planet of the Tapes is a unique full-service bar, performance venue and cinema lounge that also offers DVD rentals.

Sept. 14 — Comedy Night at Gravely, 7 p.m.

Louisville Laughs has a great Comedy Night showcase planned for you at Gravely Brewing Co., featuring comedian Andy Fleming from Chicago.
Andy is the producer of the weekly showcase The Two-Hour Comedy Hour, and producer and co-host of Comedy Secrets.
Also on the show are Zach Wycuff and Gretchen Schultz from Cincinnati; Simon Fraser from Columbus, Ohio; and Louisville’s Mike Nilsson, SugaRae and Mz Johnson. Your host is Creig Ewing.
Enjoy a night of laughs, fresh beer and food from Mayan Street Food.

Sept. 16 — Matt Bergman, 7:30 p.m.
Louisville Laughs has a special show planned for Sept. 16 at Aloft Louisville Downtown with headliner Matt Bergman.
Matt has appeared on Gotham Comedy Live, Comedy Central Live and has a Dry Bar Comedy Special. He also can be heard on SiriusXM.
Matt will be in Louisville for one night only before heading to Indianapolis to headline at Helium Comedy Club. Joining him will be comic RJ Ryan, a veteran of the World Series of Comedy.
Tickets are $15. Food and drinks are available at the Corner bar in the comfortable Aloft lobby.

Sept. 17 — Never Say Die Comedy Hour (or Two), 8 p.m.

Join Louisville Laughs at Never Say Die bar in St. Matthews for our monthly comedy open mic.
Come for the laughs, the craft cocktails or get on stage and try your hand at standup comedy.
Comics also have the chance to earn $25 for sets of the night!

Sept. 19 — Comedy 101 class, 1 p.m.

Louisville Laughs and The Caravan Comedy Club are teaming up to offer a free comedy class aimed at new comics.
Instructors include comedian Keith McGill, The Caravan’s Dana Miller and Louisville Laughs’ Creig Ewing.

Sept. 19 — Comedy at TEN20 open mic, 7 p.m.

Join Louisville Laughs for our popular comedy open mic at TEN20 Craft Brewery in Butchertown.

Sept. 26 — Sunday Standup Showcase
Our Sunday Standup Showcase in The Bard’s Town upstairs theatre lounge features comic Andrew Rudick from Cincinnati.
Andrew is a regular performer at Go Bananas Comedy Club, Liberty Funny Bone and Helium Comedy Club; in addition to clubs and venues across the country.
Also on the show are Cincinnati comic Cali Botkin and Louisville’s Daniel Craig Williams, Crystal Phoenix, Annam Choudhry, Hillary Boston, Kyle McGlothlin, Jake Macias and host June Dempsey.

Sept. 30 — Thursday Comedy Showcase, 7:30 p.m.
Join Louisville Laughs for our Thursday Comedy Showcase at Aloft Louisville Downtown.
The show features top comics from Louisville and the region.
Come enjoy a night of laughs and food and drinks from Aloft’s Corner bar.
